Sometimes you get what you pay for. The Veho while is a great value for an HD camera, you must record in 720P to enable the anti-jitter feature to get a decent handle held video recording. Also outdoor recording is difficult in bright sunlight as the screen is hard to see. But then again for $159, it does get you clear HD videos with 5X zoom (while also hard to use in realtime). I'm keeping mine for the price, I'll just use a tri-pod more and live with the limitations.
If you have kids and want to use it allot, you may want to set up to a higher priced unit. Veho VCC002HDKUZO 1080P Super HD Camcorder
