I purchased this camcorder while researching other high end camcorders and decided not to spend too much as I am into still photography and could allocate the resources into my passion rather than in a camcorder that I will not be using much. I am very impressed with the build, quality, ease of use and battery life. For the price that I paid for, the results are outstanding. I did not expect this quality from such a cheap item. However, I have to tell you that if you are viewing the downloaded files in a non-64 bit machine, the video looks choppy. It's only after I got a new 64 bit machine and viewed them again that I was able to tell the difference. The only downside that I find with this camcorder is the zoom in and zoom out feature. Not very impressive range or quality. But for the price, I can't complain either. I would recommend to anyone who is not intending to be a pro in videography.
